Announcement – Suspension of all organised, group activities at Holy Trinity Funchal

We regret to announce that it has been decided that for the next thirty days or until further notice all organised group activities in the church, its associated buildings and the grounds are suspended including the Sunday and Wednesday services. However the church remains open to visitors.

Signed Chaplain and Church Wardens.

A prayer at this difficult time:

Keep us good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy

In this time of uncertainty and distress.

Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,

And lift up all who are brought low;

That we may rejoice in your comfort

Knowing that nothing can separate us from your love

In Christ Jesus our Lord.

    From your friend in the United States- The Reverend Dr Elizabeth Gomes: I am glad you have taken this action! Here in Kansas, USA we have not heard of any cases of covid-19 in Portugal or Madeira. Know that your congregation is in our prayers at St John’s Episcopal Church in Wichita,KS.
