There will be a dinner followed by an Auction of Promises at the Porto Mare Hotel on Friday 1st December 2012, 7pm for 7.30pm.

This event will prove hopefully to be one of the biggest fund raising and social events of the church`s year. That this is the third year in a row that Holy Trinity Church has organised such an event, proves its success as both a social event and a method of raising solely needed funds. Last year the event was held to raise money for the organ restoration appeal, and this month (November) saw the historic organ restoration work duly completed by experts who travelled over from the UK. This year Holy Trinity has seen even more pressing matters claiming the attention of its funds in the form of essential repairs to its leaking roof and damaged parapets and now the replacement of the entire ground flooring of the main Trinity parish room due to extensive wood rot. Therefore, all proceeds raised from this year´s Auction of Promises will go to the Church Roof & Trinity Floor Restoration Appeals.

Tickets for this year are 30€ per person payable in advance. For your information, to enable you to book onto one of the Host tables, please contact Tina Mongor the event organiser directly on 291 935 445 (landline) or 96 36 75 358 (mobile), as soon as possible as tickets are selling fast.

Tickets will include an aperitif, three-course dinner & wines, coffee, and registration as a bidder for the after dinner Auction of Promises. At the time of going to press we are also promised  a special guest will sing while the coffee is being served!

This year donated promises include exclusive meals at well known restaurants in Madeira, and weekend accomodation at some of the famous hotels here as well as works of art and Christmas goodies !

Happy bidding to all who are able to attend !!

Holy Trinity takes this opportunity to offer huge thanks to all of this year`s donors of Promises without which this auction would not have been possible.
